Yang Ming Marine Transport Corporation (Yang Ming) was established on December 28, 1972 and based in Keelung, Taiwan (aka Republic of China).

At the middle of 2010, the carrier operates a fleet of 80 vessels with a 4.1 million DWT and capacity of 321,000 TEUS, of which container ships are the mains service force.

With ISO-9001, ISO-9002, ISO-14001, ISO-27001, ISM CODE, ISPS CODE ,and OHSAS 18001 accreditation and being awarded with the ROC's 1996 National Quality Outstanding Case Award, the corporation is expanding service scope and broadening service locations through partnership alliances with many prominent shipping companies such as K-Line, COSCO, and Hanjin.
