Emirates Shipping Line DMCEST was started in early 2006 by Vikas M Khan, ex-CEO of a well-known container shipping line, and a strong experienced management team, together with strategic investors who have a solid appreciation and knowledge of container liner business. The company is registered in Dubai Maritime City of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and commercially headquartered in Dubai and Hong Kong, two of the busiest commercial hubs in the world. As of November 2010, the company operates 12 box ships with total nominal capacity of 32,000 TEUs.
